At Positive Steps we recognise that many people living with
physical and mental health problems struggle to cope without
specialist housing support.
Positive
Steps has over 15 years experience of providing housing support
aimed at helping people overcome their problems and progress
to healthy, independent living, in many cases for the first
time.
Service
Users are housed in high quality accommodation, and work individually
with Support Workers to establish and address their housing
and support needs. Service users then receive practical advice
and support in maintaining their tenancy and addressing their
own barriers to progression.
Support
is provided to service users in several key areas, including:
•
Household
Management
•
Household
Security and Good Neighbour Skills
•
Accessing
Healthcare and other Services
•
Nutritional
Guidance and Advice
•
Personal
Development
Specialist
Advice, Advocacy and Administration workers provide service
users with additional support on housing, legal and financial
matters, equipping them with the skills necessary to eventually
take on and sustain their own tenancy.
