India Appeal
Since our recent edition of Positive News
went to press we have learned that the recent floods which
have affected the state of Maharastra, India, have badly affected
the Prabhat Tara Sanstha project in Miraj. The Home of Hope
orphanage (see page 14 of the newsletter) has been especially
hard hit by the floods, with a temporary evacuation of the
orphanage necessary.
Reports
from Miraj indicate that the children from the home, who have
been moved to temporary accommodation in the village of Astha,
are desperately in need of clothing and blankets. 5 children
have also been admitted to hospital due to the wet and cold
weather and Positive Steps hopes to assist with meeting medical
costs.
